Las Grutas de Rio Negro

Maneje varias horas haciendo una parada en la ciudad de Santa Rosa, para luego continuar viaje hacia el balneario Las Grutas en la provincia de Rio Negro.

Con playas bañadas por el Golfo de San Matias, este es un balneario muy particular con una temperatura muy cálida en sus aguas (23ºC).

Su costa está formada por barrancos que el agua a erosionado hasta formar las grutas que le dan el nombre.

Sus playas tienen la característica que la marea sube 8 m cada 6 horas, llegándola a cubrir totalmente; se mantiene el nivel durante 15 minutos para luego descender nuevamente por 6 horas más.

Tanto es así que los barcos del puerto ubicado en la vecina San Antonio del Oeste, quedan encayados en la arena durante las horas de marea baja, y deben esperar que pasen las 6 horas para poder salir a alta mar.

Las grutas tienen un encanto particular, pueblito que me recordó los balnearios de la costa este de Uruguay.

Su rambla hermosa y muy cuidada, fue creada sobre los acantilados por el artista Carlos Páez Vilaró, que también dejó su sello en esta ciudad.
